Paid Memberships Pro – Membership Maps Add On 0.5 is a Plus Add On for Paid Memberships Pro that allows you to create interactive maps on your WordPress site. With this Add On, you can easily display membership maps on any page of your site using a shortcode. The maps will also automatically appear on the Member Directory and Profile pages when used in conjunction with the Member Directory and Profiles Add On.
To use the Membership Maps Add On, you must have the Paid Memberships Pro plugin installed and activated with a valid license. The Add On integrates directly with the Member Directory and Profiles Add On, allowing you to use the fields from those Add Ons to set up your Membership Directory. The map will inherit the shortcode attributes from the Member Directory and Profiles Add On for rendering.
If you don’t want to automatically display a map on the Member Directory and Profile pages, you can unhook the actions in the Membership Maps Add On. This can be done using a provided recipe.
Please note that in order to use this plugin, you need to create a Google Maps API Key that is enabled for the Google Maps Javascript API and Geocoding API. An active G Suite or Gmail account is required to leverage this API.
The Google Maps Platform provides a free monthly credit for API usage, allowing a daily limit of 28,500 map loads. You can view the current pricing for additional usage. Once you have created a new project and obtained your API Key, you can configure it to display membership maps on your site.
It’s important to remember that a Billing Account must be linked to your Google Cloud Platform Account in order to use these APIs. Google’s documentation provides detailed instructions on how to link your Billing Account.
