The ad can be shown in several ways. It can display after the user scrolls, after a set number of seconds, or when the user wants to leave the page. Display effects such as show, fade, and slide control how the layer appears. The ad can also be hidden again automatically after a set number of seconds. These triggers decide when the ad appears.

A close button lets users dismiss an ad, and this works for ads that are not layers as well. You can add a timeout for closed ads and choose between different positions for the close button. Publishers who want to show ads as popups and layers can use these triggers and options to control when their ads appear and how visitors can dismiss them.
