Redux is a simple, genuinely extensible, and fully responsive options framework for WordPress themes and plugins, built by developers for developers. It is based on the WordPress Settings API and supports many field types, custom error handling, custom fields and validation types, and import and export functionality. It saves development time by removing the need to rebuild an options panel on every project.

Developers configure the framework through a simple, well-documented config file and can build an options panel in a fraction of the time a custom build would take. Field types range from basic text, textarea, checkbox, radio, select, and switch controls to background, border, box shadow, spacing, dimensions, typography, slider, sorter, repeater, section, tabbed, media, gallery, editor, Google Maps, social profiles, import and export, and metaboxes for posts, taxonomies, and user profiles, and widget areas. The typography module includes a preview, Google fonts, and automatic CSS output.

Additional features include full value escaping, required links that control field visibility from parent values with full nesting, automatic CSS and Google Fonts stylesheet generation on select fields once a CSS selector is set, a compiler hook that runs when compiled fields change, field validation and sanitization, and field and section disabling.
