Description:

This plugin is a toolkit for developers to create and handle custom meta boxes and custom fields in WordPress. It provides a wide range of field types and many options for each field type. With the extensions, you can build meta boxes not only for custom post types but also for settings pages, user meta, and term meta, and display the fields with columns, tabs, or groups.

The plugin supports more than 40 built in field types, including text, textarea, editor, image, file, select, checkbox, radio buttons, date time picker, taxonomy, user, and oembed, and you can create your own field type. Cloning, or repeatable fields, is supported for most field types, including the editor field, along with repeatable field groups. Actions and filters let developers change the appearance and behavior. Some coding is required, but you can use the Online Generator, the MB Custom Post Type extension, or the Meta Box Builder extension to create custom post types, meta boxes, and custom fields through a graphical interface.

The plugin is built mostly for developers. It uses the native WordPress meta data storage and functions for fast processing, integrates with themes and plugins, works with Composer, and is compatible with WPML.
