Description:
Gravity Forms REST API 2.0-rc-1 delivers version 2 of the REST API for Gravity Forms. First released as a beta in late 2016, it was incorporated into Gravity Forms core from version 2.4 in the fall of 2018, while the earlier Web API became REST API Version 1. Version 2 keeps the endpoints largely the same but changes responses and authentication, and should feel familiar to developers who have worked with the WordPress REST API.
Version 2 supports Basic Authentication and OAuth 1.0a, configured after creating API keys on the REST API settings page. JSON requests must specify the application/json content type. Responses are not enveloped by default, so the body carries the response and the HTTP code carries the status. The Form Submissions endpoint accepts application/json, application/x-www-form-urlencoded and multipart/form-data, which allows files to be sent to single file upload fields.
POST requests to entries and forms no longer accept collections, so multiple items cannot be created in one request. DELETE now sends a resource to the trash instead of deleting it permanently, and the force parameter deletes it permanently. DELETE, POST and PUT requests return the affected entry or form rather than a confirmation message. The API is reached as a route of the WordPress REST API, covering forms, notifications, feeds, fields, entries and results.
The vendor’s own page for Gravity Forms REST API has the full details.
