MB Tabs is an extension for the Meta Box plugin that organizes custom fields in tabs. You can add as many custom fields as you want and arrange them into tabs inside a meta box. It supports 3 tab styles and uses the same UI as the WordPress admin area, so nothing unexpected appears on your edit pages. Tabs can be placed on top or on the left, similar to what WooCommerce does.

Setting it up requires no re-coding of existing meta boxes. Your only work is adding parameters for tabs, such as tab titles and which fields belong to each tab. This makes it easy to adjust old code to add tabs to meta boxes. The extension integrates easily with themes. You can also remove the meta box wrapper so the tabs look more professional.

Tabs can have icons. It supports all icons from Dashicons, the default icon font for the WordPress admin area, and you can also use any icon font or images. The clear UI helps clients understand the edit screens in a more user-friendly way. If you need more control over how fields are organized, MB Columns lets you place fields in a 12-columns grid, and both extensions work well together.
