EffectIO SearchWP Dutch Stemmer 1.2.4

Description:

The SearchWP Dutch Stemmer is an extension for SearchWP, the advanced WordPress search plugin. By default, SearchWP applies English stemming when the stemming option is enabled on the main SearchWP settings screen. With this extension installed, enabling that option applies Dutch keyword stemming instead, so the stemming step follows Dutch rules rather than English ones.

It is intended for website owners who use SearchWP and want Dutch keyword stemming on their sites. SearchWP is trusted by more than 50,000 website owners and covers features such as smart search forms, custom results order, search analytics, live search, document search, and WooCommerce search. Within that setup, the stemmer changes only the stemming behavior, replacing the English default with Dutch stemming when the option is switched on.

Note that this extension is deprecated as of SearchWP version 3.1, because Dutch keyword stemming has been bundled into SearchWP itself. Sites running SearchWP 3.1 or later already include the Dutch stemming behavior, so the standalone extension is no longer needed there. This listing covers version 1.2.4 of the extension.

The vendor’s own page for SearchWP Dutch Stemmer has the full details.

Main Features of SearchWP Dutch Stemmer:

• Applies Dutch keyword stemming when the stemming option is enabled in SearchWP
• Takes the place of the default English stemming that SearchWP applies
• Works with the stemming setting on the main SearchWP settings screen
• Functions as an extension for the SearchWP WordPress search plugin
• Its Dutch stemming functionality has been bundled into SearchWP itself since version 3.1
