The add-on works through triggers and actions. When a selected trigger occurs, such as a user asking a question, answering a question, having an answer selected as best, selecting an answer as best, voting an answer up or down, receiving a vote up or down, or commenting on a question or answer, AutomatorWP can run the actions configured for that automation. Sample automations include adding a membership to a user who asks a question, marking a lesson as completed when a user answers a question, and adding a tag to a user who votes up an answer. Some triggers are included free, while others are available in the pro version. Automations can be created for anonymous users, all users, or all posts, and the plugin also supports filters, tags, and logs.
