Hreflang Manager is a WordPress plugin that implements hreflang to increase search visibility, indexation rate, and the number of impressions. Language, language script, geographic location, and the x-default directive of alternate pages are configured from a dedicated menu or a post editor meta box. The plugin supports all languages defined with ISO 639-1, all scripts defined with ISO 15924, and all countries defined with ISO 3166-1 alpha-2, and hreflang can be implemented as HTML tags or a dedicated XML sitemap.

The plugin works in a WordPress multisite environment, on alternate pages across different WordPress installations, or on alternate pages on the same website. With network sync enabled, the administrator adds hreflang data only in a single network site defined as master. Bulk data from a CSV file or exported from another plugin can be uploaded with the embedded spreadsheet editor. The import and export feature archives connections as XML files for backups or moving data between websites.

The tag inspector verifies the hreflang implementation on the front end and visualizes all alternate versions of a page. Hreflang Manager is designed to work with any WordPress translation plugin such as WPML and TranslatePress. The web server must run WordPress 6.6 or greater and have at least PHP 7.0 installed. A free version is available on WordPress.org.
