Description:
WP Story Premium is a WordPress plugin that lets you create your own custom stories and display them in any part of your site you choose. Stories are created directly from your WordPress site, and the plugin does not support adding stories from Instagram. You can add videos to your stories and set the duration of each story exactly as you like. The recommended image size for stories is 1080×1920, meaning 1080 pixels horizontally and 1920 pixels vertically.
The plugin offers four different views, transitions with effects, and navigation arrows for moving between stories. When the story modal is active, the body scrollbar is hidden. A "New Tab" option is available for links, and the duration setting is optional, defaulting to 3 seconds when not specified. The plugin is sold through CodeCanyon, and the vendor recommends testing the free version on your site before purchasing the premium one. The plugin is intended for WordPress site owners who want to present story style content, similar to the story formats known from platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp, on their own websites.
The plugin has been developed through several releases. Version 1.0.0 was the initial release, followed by fixes to the post type bug, display errors on some sites, and Turkish translation errors, with free and premium post type names unified as wp-story. Version 1.0.3 added a license clear option and a redesigned license page. Version 1.0.4 brought the "New Tab" option, minified inline javascript codes, a fixed close button, and the default duration. Version 1.0.5 hid the body scrollbar during story display. Version 1.0.6 fixed a link error and added the navigation arrows and cube effect features. Version 1.0.7 introduced video stories along with minor bug fixes. Version 1.0.8 fixed some minor bugs, made the featured image required, and added some helpers.
The plugin works with any WordPress theme, and stories are entered manually by the administrator. According to the vendor, a feature that would allow site members to add stories is in development and planned for a future release. Documentation is available for the plugin, and support is provided by the vendor through their site, where buyers can also leave comments and questions about the product.
The vendor’s own page for WP Story Premium has the full details.
