It uses a technique called dynamic asynchronous ajax preloading, and a WPBeginner comparison of the top five slider plugins found Soliloquy to be twice as fast as its competitors. The code has been audited by Mark Jaquith, lead developer of WordPress. Soliloquy is optimized for SEO and user experience, offers multiple navigation control options, and supports touch swipe on mobile devices. More than 100 configurable hooks and filters are available for customization, and the plugin has over 900,000 downloads.

Soliloquy suits photographers, designers, bloggers, and small businesses, and it can be used without coding knowledge. It requires at least WordPress 4.0 and a modern web browser, with no support for IE8 or below.
