Description:

wpDiscuz User and Comment Mentioning, version 7.2.1, is an addon for the wpDiscuz comment system. It allows commenters to mention certain comments and users within comment text using #comment-id and @username tags. Since it builds on wpDiscuz, it is aimed at sites that use this comment plugin and want to reference specific people and specific comments inside the conversation.

The addon includes a User Search bar, so you can find and tag any user or guest easily. It also displays the #ID of each comment so that comments can be tagged as well. Whenever a mention is made, all mentioned users and comment authors receive an email notification about it.

On the front end, the addon replaces @author and #comment-id entries with links that carry avatars. When a reader hovers over one of these links, a pop-up window opens showing user and comment information. One requirement applies: the Comment Rich Editor must be enabled for this addon. It is one of the wpDiscuz addons, listed alongside tools such as Ads Manager, Advanced Liking, Comment Search, Emoticons, Media Uploader, Private Comments and Syntax Highlighter.

The vendor’s own page for wpDiscuz – User & Comment Mentioning has the full details.
