wpForo Syntax Highlighter is an official addon for the wpForo forum plugin. It displays formatted source code in the content of forum posts using the highlight.js JavaScript library. The addon requires at least wpForo version 2.0.0 and should not be installed on lower versions. wpForo itself is a free forum plugin available for download on the WordPress.org Extensions directory.

The addon supports almost all programming languages, including Apache, Bash, C#, C++, CSS, HTML, XML, JSON, Java, JavaScript, Objective-C, PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby, SQL, Basic, Delphi, Erlang, Matlab, Prolog, ScalaScheme, Swift, TypeScript, VB.NET and Shell. It comes with dozens of different syntax highlighting styles. Forum users can insert scripts and code in topics and posts using the code toolbar button in the editor. Version 3.0.2 adds a copy button for code blocks.

Site administrators configure the addon in the dashboard settings, where they can enable or disable certain programming languages and change the highlighting style. It installs like any other WordPress plugin. After activation, the settings are found under the Syntax Highlighter tab in the wpForo addon settings.
