wpForo Voice Posting is an addon for the wpForo forum plugin that lets members discuss with their voice in forum topics. It adds a microphone button to the top right side of the topic and post editors. Clicking the button asks for permission, and once allowed, recording starts with a timer. Stop and cancel buttons appear during recording. After stopping, you can post the record as a voice topic or reply, or delete it and record again. The recording is processed by the user's device.

Voice posts appear as regular posts with an audio player, and other members can click play to listen. The player is the built-in HTML5 audio player provided by browsers, so its look varies between browsers. The addon requires at least wpForo 2.2.8 and should not be installed on lower versions. The vendor's support confirms compatibility with the wpForo Private Messages addon.

Permissions for voice posting and listening are managed in the wpForo Accesses admin page and granted to usergroups through each forum's settings. The Voice Posting tab in the wpForo settings offers a recording time limit and an option to load the addon JavaScript libraries for selected usergroups.
