Description:
wpForo User Mentioning is a lightweight extension for the wpForo forum. It is built for community members who want to mention other users while writing topics and replies in the forum. When someone types the @ symbol in the topic or post editor, a small popup window opens with an autocomplete list of users whose names start with the @ symbol, making it easy to pick the right member.
The popup lets you browse all suggestions with the up and down arrow keys on the keyboard and confirm the choice by pressing Enter. Once a user is mentioned, that user receives an email notification letting them know about the topic or reply where the mention happened.
Site administrators manage mention notifications in the wpForo Settings area on the Subscriptions and Mentions page. When the option is enabled, a user gets an email whenever someone uses their @nickname in a post. The email content can be edited in the same admin page, and each user can mute mention emails from their profile page.
The vendor’s own page for wpForo User Mentioning has the full details.
