Accordion Upcoming Events is an add-on for Calendarize it!, the WordPress calendar solution. It was created after many customers asked for new designs for the Upcoming Events Widget and List. The default Upcoming Events Widget in Calendarize it! comes with nine templates, and this add-on adds three additional minimalistic templates to that set.
The three templates can be inserted directly into the content of a website through shortcodes with different attributes, and the same output can also be placed in a sidebar. Since version 1.2.5, the add-on supports the drop downs from the Taxonomy Filter add-on and can enable Geo Location, which displays events within a specific distance of the visitor on your website.
Behavior is controlled through shortcode attributes. The nav attribute accepts the integer values 1, 2, 3 and 4: 1 shows navigation arrows above the accordion, 2 shows them below, 3 shows them both above and below, and 4 hides the arrows while still showing the Taxonomy Filter drop down if one has been added. Taxonomy dropdowns are added with the header attribute, where you list the taxonomies to include, using the Calendarize it! defaults btn_tax_calendar, btn_tax_organizer and btn_tax_venue or any custom taxonomy you have created. Setting auw_title_type to 1 disables the event title link that normally takes the user to the Event Details Page.
