Description:
The Google Calendar Integration addon connects the BookingPress appointment booking plugin for WordPress with Google Calendar. When a customer books an appointment, an event is created in the assigned staff member's Google Calendar. Any busy timeslot in a staff member's Google Calendar is marked as unavailable in BookingPress, which prevents double booking.
The addon is downloaded from the BookingPress website account area and uploaded to WordPress as a zip file, then installed and activated. Configuration happens under BookingPress, then Settings, then Integrations, then Google Calendar, where a Client ID and Client Secret from the Google Console are entered. The Google API Console is used to enable the Google Calendar API, select or create a project, set up the OAuth consent screen, and create an OAuth Client ID for a web application with registered origins and redirect URIs.
Events in Google Calendar can display a title, description, location, and attendees when Google Meet is enabled, and these details are set in the integration settings. Titles and other fields are built from placeholders chosen in the Insert Placeholder dropdowns. Events are created in the staff member's calendar only, so they are not added to the customer's calendar unless the customer books using a Google email address. The addon suits BookingPress users whose staff members manage their schedules in Google Calendar.
The vendor’s own page for BookingPress – Google Calendar Integration Addon has the full details.
