Custom Buttons for Calendarize it! is an add-on for the Calendarize it! calendar plugin for WordPress. It lets you insert custom buttons into the Event Details Box and the Venue Details Box. Each button has a configurable label and a configurable button action, so you control what the button says and what happens when it is clicked.
The add-on also works with the Community Events add-on. With Community Events in place, you can add a custom button to the Event Details Page that only the author of the event can see. When the author clicks that button, the Community Events Edit Event option loads, and the user can edit the event from the frontend.
Buttons are added through a shortcode. The shortcode carries a label, a link address, and optional attributes. You replace the example URL with the URL of the page on your own site where you have inserted the Community Events Edit Event shortcode. Adding the attribute is_author with the value 1 limits the button so that only the author of the event can see it. The add-on fits sites that use Community Events to let members submit and edit their own events.
