MB Group is a Meta Box extension that organizes custom fields into repeatable and collapsible groups. It helps developers and end users view and manage data more efficiently by stacking similar fields together in a customizable hierarchy across forms, pages, posts and meta boxes.

Groups, sub-fields and sub-groups can be repeated as many times as needed with the cloning feature, and repeated groups can be reordered with drag and drop right on the post or page. Multi-level nested groups are supported with no limits for nesting levels, which allows a more specific data structure on the page without adding more fields to your code. Sub-fields in a group can be collapsed or expanded, and you can number group titles, set a group title to a sub-field value, and save the collapsible state.

For database efficiency, the extension stores all sub-fields in a single row instead of one meta table per sub-field, reducing the number of rows and helping the website access the database more efficiently. Fields display vertically by default, and the extension works with MB Columns to arrange repeated fields horizontally as columns in a grid. Example uses include book details such as format, publication date and author biography, or a music album with repeatable tracks.
