Description:
Media Library Folders creates actual folders in the WordPress Media Library. Instead of organizing uploads only by month and date, you can add and build new folders to label and organize files as you wish. Files and folders can be moved, copied, renamed and deleted through a drag and drop interface, and thumbnails can be regenerated. The plugin adds to and works with the WordPress Media Library and does not replace it.
When uploading, the SEO Images feature lets you specify ALT and TITLE attributes. Folders and files can be synced when a folder is moved or uploaded via FTP, and a MaxGalleria gallery can be created. Block Direct Access prevents unauthorized downloads of proprietary media files. It can protect unlimited media files, block Google Search from indexing media files, prevent file hotlinking, disable copy and right click, and generate and limit private URLs that can be restricted by IP address.
The plugin suits site administrators and WordPress users who need to organize uploaded files, including projects with strict requirements. To activate Block Direct Access, open its tab in the plugin settings, check the activate option and click Update Settings. This creates a protected-content folder in the media library. On Apache the .htaccess file is updated automatically, while Nginx and IIS servers require manual configuration updates.
