Description:

This product is a developer's toolkit for building metaboxes, custom fields, and forms for WordPress. It is a complete rewrite of Custom Metaboxes and Fields for WordPress. With it you can manage meta for posts, terms, users, and comments, or create custom option pages. It is aimed at developers who want metaboxes on post edit screens, forms on options pages, forms for user meta on user profile add and edit pages, and forms for term meta shown wherever their taxonomies are used.

The toolkit includes several field types, and a custom API hook lets you create your own field types. A flexible API allows the forms to be used almost anywhere, including the front-end. Repeatable fields are supported for most field types, along with repeatable field groups. Numerous hooks and filters let you modify many aspects of the library without editing it directly. It is safe to bundle with any project and loads only the newest version in the system.

Documentation is available on the project wiki on GitHub, and functions and methods carry inline documentation. The example-functions.php file includes example code to help you get started. Third party field types are also available, including a Google Maps field that stores latitude and longitude values, a Select2 based field, and search fields for attaching posts or users.
