Description:
The bbPress Add-on extends Paid Member Subscriptions by connecting the membership plugin with bbPress, the forums plugin for WordPress. It is aimed at people who run a membership website and want to place their forum behind a paid membership. With the add-on active, you can restrict your forums and topics and allow only premium members to have access to them.
Restriction works at two levels. You can restrict each forum individually, and you can restrict each topic individually. For restricted forums and topics, the add-on offers the option to add custom messages, so visitors without access see a message you have written. When it comes to topics, you can choose how the restriction behaves. One option hides the entire topic along with its replies. The other shows the topic itself and hides just the replies.
The add-on requires bbPress, which needs to be installed alongside Paid Member Subscriptions. It is built for anyone creating a membership website with forums on WordPress. Documentation for the add-on is available on the vendor site, and the changelog lists the latest features and fixes. This description covers version 1.0.2 of the add-on.
The vendor’s own page for Paid Member Subscriptions – bbPress Add-on has the full details.
