The Paid Memberships Pro – Auto-Renewal Checkbox 0.3.0 is a Plus Add On that enhances the Membership Checkout page by introducing a new section for automatic renewals. With this Add On, users can easily set up automatic renewals for their membership, ensuring uninterrupted access to your site’s content.
How it Works
Once installed and activated, this Add On creates a checkbox on the Membership Checkout page, allowing users to opt-in for automatic renewals. If they choose not to enable this feature, their membership will expire based on the recurring billing settings configured for their membership level.
For example, if a level has an initial payment of $10 and a recurring subscription of $10 per month, members can either purchase a membership that automatically renews each month or they can pay $10 for a single month of membership.
Administrators have the flexibility to adjust whether automatic renewals are allowed for each membership level in the Membership Settings > Levels > Edit Level page.
Installation
The Paid Memberships Pro plugin must be already installed and activated with a valid license type to use this Add On. Simply download and install the Auto-Renewal Checkbox 0.3.0 Add On, and it will seamlessly integrate with your existing setup.

Important Notes
For sites using the Set Expiration Date or Subscription Delays Add Ons, it is necessary to use the Auto-Renewal Checkbox Add On in conjunction with these Add Ons to ensure proper functionality. Please ensure that the delay and expiration are set to the same value to enable Auto-Renewal Settings.
If a member has a fixed-term membership that is about to expire, Paid Memberships Pro includes built-in membership extension logic. Users can renew their membership for the same plan and extend their membership for an additional term, including any remaining days from the current term.
However, if a member with an expiration in a few days opts for automatic renewals using this Add On, their renewal date will start immediately without extension. To preserve the payment date, consider using the Proration Add On.
