The Membership Manager Role Add On creates a new Membership Manager role for sites running Paid Memberships Pro. The role gives a designated user permission to manage membership settings and the membership database while restricting full administrative access to the WordPress site. It is aimed at site owners who need help managing memberships without compromising site security.

Users with this role can manage Paid Memberships Pro settings, including level settings, email templates, and user fields. They can browse and search the members list, view a single member, and change memberships. They can search orders, process refunds, synchronize subscription payments with the gateway, and view reports. The role covers capabilities such as discount codes, CSV exports, the setup wizard, and user management. It also supports other Add Ons that add custom capabilities, such as the Approval Process for Membership or Mobile Reports Dashboard App.

This is a drop-in Add On. After activation, the role is added to your site and can be assigned from the User Edit screen. The role stays in sync with Paid Memberships Pro capabilities, so permissions added in future updates are granted automatically. Editing the role directly is not recommended; duplicate and customize it with the User Role Editor plugin instead. The Add On is not compatible with a Multisite environment.
