Private Sessions is an add-on for LearnDash that gives group leaders a way to hold one on one discussions with their students. Instead of every conversation taking place in front of the whole group, a group leader can open a private session with a single student and talk directly with that person. The add-on is built around this one capability, and it works through the relationship that already exists between group leaders and their students.

In practice, a session starts when a group leader chooses one of their students and opens a private discussion with them. The conversation then takes place between the two of them alone, separate from the open discussions that the rest of the group takes part in. Because the leader can do this with any of their students, individual conversations are not limited to one person or a single occasion. Each student in the group can be brought into a private session whenever the leader decides it makes sense.
