Description:

Restrict Content Pro EDD Member Downloads is an add-on plugin that connects Restrict Content Pro and Easy Digital Downloads. Its stated purpose is to let you sell download memberships on a membership site powered by Restrict Content Pro. Because it is an add-on, it is built to work alongside both of those plugins rather than on its own. The listing covers version 1.0.6 of the plugin.

Once the plugin is activated, it provides a new option on the membership level add/edit screen, which is the screen used when a membership level is added or edited. That option lets you define the number of free downloads a member can have during each membership period. Since the option sits on the membership level screen, the number of free downloads is set per level, so different membership levels can be given different numbers of free downloads. The defined number then applies to members during each of their membership periods.

The add-on is aimed at site owners who run a membership site powered by Restrict Content Pro and who also use Easy Digital Downloads to sell downloads. With it, a membership can include free downloads, with the number of those downloads decided by the membership level the member belongs to. This ties download access to membership levels, so selling a membership becomes a way to offer free downloads as part of it.

There is also a note about where the plugin can be obtained. According to the vendor notice, on October 14th, 2021 all Restrict Content Pro add-ons will be removed from the WordPress plugin repository. This plugin, along with all other Restrict Content Pro add-ons, will remain available to download in the iThemes Member's Panel. The panel is therefore the place to download the plugin once the removal from the repository takes effect. Further information about the add-on is available in the documentation at docs.restrictcontentpro.com, in the article covering EDD Member Downloads.

🔑

License Manager
View, activate, and manage all your license keys in one place. No hunting through emails or vendor dashboards.

🔇

🛡️

Vendor Request Control
Prevents redundant license-check pings to third-party servers for items you already manage through EffectIO.

🆓

100% Free
