Description:
RS Framework is a developer toolkit for building metaboxes, custom fields, and forms in WordPress. It manages meta for posts, terms, users, and comments, and supports custom option pages. The library is a complete rewrite of Custom Metaboxes and Fields for WordPress, and it is written for developers.
You can create metaboxes for post edit screens, forms for options pages, forms for user meta shown on profile add and edit pages, and forms for term meta displayed wherever your taxonomies are used. A flexible API lets you use the forms almost anywhere, including the front-end. Several field types are included, and a hook lets you create custom field types. Numerous hooks and filters let you modify many aspects of the library without editing it directly. Repeatable fields are supported for most field types, along with repeatable field groups.
The library is safe to bundle with any project because it will only load the newest version in the system. To get started, follow the examples in the included example-functions.php file. Documentation is available on the GitHub wiki, and the functions and methods carry inline documentation. Translations are provided through WordPress Plugin Translations. Third party field types cover post search, user search, Google Maps, Leaflet Maps, and Select2. Development takes place on GitHub, where contributions are welcome.
