Description:

The ECPay Payment Gateway Addon connects ECPay, a payment service provider based in Taiwan, to websites built with the BookingPress appointment booking plugin. It lets customers pay for their bookings through secure online transactions and supports both domestic and international payment options. The addon is aimed at businesses serving customers in Taiwan that want to offer local payment methods alongside international ones.

Customers can pay with credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, JCB, and UnionPay, with American Express and Government Travel Card in supported configurations, and with Apple Pay. ATM transfers are handled through virtual accounts and WebATM, and convenience store payments are available through 7-Eleven, FamilyMart, Hi-Life, and OK Mart. The addon also covers TWQR QR code payments, cardless installment and BNPL options, and WeChat Pay and other alternative payment methods through partner onboarding.

Alongside payment processing, ECPay offers integrated logistics and e-invoice services that give businesses extra tools. ECPay charges a transaction fee that is typically based on a percentage and a minimum amount in TWD, and the exact fees depend on your ECPay contract and the selected payment method.

The vendor’s own page for BookingPress – ECPay Payment Gateway Addon has the full details.
