BuddyPress Auto Friendship Pro is a plugin for BuddyPress and BuddyBoss networks that adds friends, followers, or following connections to newly registered members. Site admins create user lists that are applied automatically when a new member activates an account, or they can require new members to follow certain lists. The plugin also includes the BuddyPress Connection Creator tool, added in version 1.1.0, which lets admins manually connect two users.

Lists come in two types. A global list has no conditions, so its members are always added as friends or followers to every newly registered user. A conditional list applies one or more conditions based on profile fields, user roles, or member types, and its members are added only to new users who match those conditions. Admins can create any number of lists and add any number of users to each one. Each list works as a friendship list, a follower list, or a following list.

The plugin can also create bulk relationships between list members and all existing users. Connections are automated on group actions as well, so friendships or follows are added or removed when a user joins a group, leaves a group, or is removed from it.
