GeoDirectory Franchise Manager is designed for directory owners whose sites include chains of businesses or franchises. It lets users submit listings for such chains faster and gives owners a smarter way to monetize those listings. The workflow centers on a main listing for each Chain, with branches then added through the Add Listing form.
After the main listing for a new Chain has been entered, fields of the Add Listing form can be locked. Most fields are then pre-populated, while the address, telephone number and email address remain open so they can be entered separately for every branch of the chain. A submitter therefore only fills in the fields that differ from one branch to the next, and the shared details carry over from the main listing.
Editing follows the same logic. When the main listing is edited, the locked fields are edited for all branches too, so an update made once reaches every branch without being repeated. The result is a faster submission process for users and, for directory owners, a smarter way to monetize listings for franchises and other chains of businesses.
