LatePoint Addon – Zoom is an addon for LatePoint, an appointment scheduling plugin for WordPress. Its purpose is stated plainly in the source: it allows you to automatically generate Zoom Meetings for your appointments. This means that when a booking is made through LatePoint, the addon handles the creation of the corresponding Zoom meeting, removing the need to set up each meeting by hand.

The addon connects Zoom accounts with LatePoint agents. Authentication with Zoom has evolved over the addon's releases. Deprecated JWT tokens were replaced with OAuth, which is the method the addon uses to connect to Zoom. There was also a fix for an issue retrieving available Zoom users, and a later fix ensured that the Zoom User dropdown shows all active users, preventing mappings beyond the first 30 from being lost. These changes matter for sites with several agents, since each agent may need to be mapped to the correct Zoom user.

Group bookings are covered too. Version 1.1.0 added shared meeting mode support for group bookings. When shared mode is enabled for a service, all bookings in the same slot reuse a single Zoom meeting link instead of creating separate ones. Translations have also been fixed along the way. This addon is aimed at people who run appointments through LatePoint on a WordPress site and want those appointments to take place as Zoom meetings, whether one on one or in shared group sessions.
