MB Include Exclude is an extension for the Meta Box plugin that helps developers show or hide meta boxes on selected pages. Visibility can be set by post ID, page template, category, tag or custom taxonomy. For example, a meta box can be shown only on the Contact Us page template or on posts in the News category, while users on other pages do not see it.

Many rules can be defined, including post IDs, parent IDs, post slugs, page templates, categories, tags, custom taxonomies, parent categories or taxonomies, user roles, user IDs and user capabilities. Conditions can be combined with the logical operators AND and OR to create restrictions of any complexity, and the user role and user ID conditions work together with the MB User Meta extension. When none of the built in rules fits, a custom function can be written to decide whether a meta box shows.

The extension applies its rules when a page loads or after saving, and it does not include JavaScript to toggle meta boxes immediately as conditions change.
