Newsletter – Gravity Forms Addon 1.0.8 is a powerful plugin that seamlessly integrates your Gravity Forms with the Newsletter subscription process. With this addon, you can easily add newsletter opt-in options to any Gravity form, whether it’s a contact form or a subscription form dedicated to collecting subscriptions.
Getting started is simple. Just design your form using Gravity Forms, adding all the fields you need to collect information. Make sure to include an email field as it is required for the subscription process. If you want to include a consent checkbox, Gravity Forms provides a special field named “consent” which can be mapped as a condition to determine whether to start or not start a subscription.
In the Newsletter sidebar menu, you will find the Gravity Forms entry. Here, you can configure the addon by selecting the Gravity form you want to connect to Newsletter. In the configuration panel, you can map the subscriber fields to the form fields and perform additional configurations.
If you want to give subscribers the option to choose from one or more public lists, you can add a checkboxes field to your Gravity form. Then, map these checkboxes to the lists you manage in the Newsletter plugin. Each checkbox can be named with a main label, such as “Topics,” and a single checkbox label, such as “Sport” or “Outdoor.”
If you simply want to add a subscriber from a Gravity form submission to one or more lists, you can select the desired lists during the subscription process. Even private lists can be selected, as they will not be shown to the subscriber, but will be automatically added to their profile.
Other options available include selecting whether subscriptions should be confirmed or unconfirmed. Unconfirmed subscriptions require activation and Newsletter will send the classical activation email as part of the double opt-in subscription process.
The addon also allows you to choose whether the subscription is optional and requires visitor opt-in, or if the subscription is collected automatically. In the latter case, no consent field is needed and the configuration can be set accordingly.
