Once it is active, the BuddyPress user profile is transferred to the Profile Builder user profile automatically. This suits site owners who run both plugins and want their user profiles handled through Profile Builder instead of being managed separately in BuddyPress.

The add-on replaces BuddyPress registration, profile editing, profile viewing and member listing with the extended user profiles created with Profile Builder. After the replacement, these four areas run through Profile Builder rather than through BuddyPress itself. You can also choose to import existing BuddyPress fields and user entries to Profile Builder, so established member data can move into the profile setup you build with Profile Builder.

To function properly, the plugin requires that both BuddyPress and Profile Builder are installed on the same site. It is intended for WordPress sites that use both plugins and want Profile Builder to take over the user profile features that BuddyPress normally covers.
