The discount is chosen as a percentage of the regular price. It is compatible with WooCommerce 2.6 and higher, including 3.0+. WooCommerce on its own cannot schedule a sale start and end time, which this plugin adds.

It is aimed at ecommerce store owners who run regular sales and want to avoid repetitive editing work.
