Description:

The Salient Shortcodes plugin registers all Salient shortcodes and adds a shortcode generator button to TinyMCE enabled editors, so you can insert them without remembering attributes. It is a legacy plugin most sites no longer need, since the Salient WPBakery Page Builder is the main way to build pages and its elements cover what the shortcodes were written for. It remains available for sites built before the page builder, or for adding a shortcode inside a widget or a plain text editor. Existing shortcodes keep working, so nothing needs to change.

To add a shortcode, click the "Nectar Shortcodes" button and choose from the full list at the top of the popup modal. The relevant options appear below, and the green "Add shortcode" button places it once you are ready. Shortcodes were the original way Salient provided reusable elements, and a few, such as dropcap, are not part of the page builder.

The shortcodes cover columns from 1/6 through 1/1, a full width section that acts as a row, the Nectar Slider, image with animation, centered heading, divider, dropcap, milestone, icon, button, toggle panels, tabbed section, testimonial slider, clients, pricing table in 2, 3, 4 or 5 columns, team member, carousel, social buttons, video and audio, plus portfolio, recent projects, blog and recent posts.
