The Envato Market plugin connects a WordPress site to the Envato Market API using a secure OAuth personal token. Through this connection it installs WordPress themes and plugins purchased from ThemeForest and CodeCanyon. It is aimed at WordPress users who buy themes and plugins on these marketplaces and want to handle installation and updates from their own site.

Once themes and plugins are installed, WordPress periodically checks for updates. Keeping your items up to date is then as simple as a few clicks. Update checks run through the same API connection the plugin sets up, so purchased products can be kept current from within WordPress.

Authorization can be set up in two ways. You can add a global token to connect all items from your account at once. You can also connect directly with a specific item using a single-use token together with that item's ID. When a global token and a single-use token are both set for the same item, the single-use token will be used to communicate with the API.
