Description:
WP ERP SMS Notification is an add-on that sends text messages from the WP ERP system. It works in both the HR module and the CRM module, letting HR managers and CRM users notify people by SMS. The add-on requires the WP ERP PRO plugin to be installed and activated on the site first.
After activation, the add-on is toggled on under WP ERP, Modules, Purchased. Configuration happens under WP ERP, Settings, Integration, SMS Notification. There you pick an SMS gateway from the Active Gateway menu and fill in the fields that connect WP ERP with the API and credentials of your SMS service provider. The documentation walks through getting Twilio credentials, including the account SID, Auth Token, a verified Twilio phone number, and the geolocation setting in Twilio.
In the HR module, a new option on the create announcement page lets the HR manager send SMS notifications besides email notifications when an announcement is published. The message is typed into the SMS Body text box under Announcement Settings. In the CRM module, you can send SMS to customers, leads or opportunities from the SMS tab of a contact profile. The mobile number field in the contact profile serves as the recipient and must be filled, otherwise the feature will not work. Successful messages appear in the activity log.
