All-in-One WP Migration FTP Extension backs up your entire WordPress site to any FTP, FTPS, or SFTP server. You can use your own hosting account, a NAS device, or a dedicated backup server instead of a cloud storage subscription. The plugin exports the database, all media uploads, every plugin and theme, and the full wp-content directory, with options to exclude spam comments, inactive themes, inactive plugins, or cache files.

Setup takes four steps: install the extension, enter your hostname, port, username, and password or private key, choose what to back up, and set a schedule. Backups run hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly in the background without affecting your site. Optional email notifications alert you when a backup completes or fails, and retention rules keep a set number of backups, cap storage size, or delete backups older than a set number of days.

Large backups upload in 5 MB chunks, and if the connection drops, the upload resumes from the last successful chunk with automatic retry up to 5 times. Optional incremental backups upload only changed files. To restore, open Import, pick a timestamped backup, and the plugin downloads it from your FTP server and restores your database, media, plugins, and themes. It can also restore to a different WordPress site and handles URL replacement automatically.
