wpForo Private Messages is an official addon for the wpForo forum plugin. It gives members a safe and professional way to communicate directly. Messages sent and received through PM are private and can only be viewed by the sender and recipient. Conversations work like email but are stored within the forum system and addressed by User Name, revealing no personal information beyond the nickname.
The addon supports conversations with a single person or with a group. Members send and view messages on the My Profile Messages page, which lists all contacts and conversations. New conversations start through a form or by clicking a Message icon on the members list or post list. Users can add or remove members, block, report and delete contacts, and hide or delete conversations. Message loading is AJAX powered as the user scrolls.
Email notifications and a pop-up note inform members about new messages. Administrators get private message statistics in the wpForo Dashboard and can set options for the minimum number of forum posts needed to send a message, daily limits on contacts and messages, and the maximum number of participants. Other options cover external URLs, image URLs and embedded content, and a usergroup permission controls who can write messages. The addon is RTL ready and requires wpForo version 2.0.0 or higher.
