Description:

Private Credentials is an add-on for the SupportCandy support ticket plugin that lets customers share sensitive information within a ticket. A web development agency, for example, may need clients to send cPanel access, administrative access, or FTP details. When such information is written in a normal reply, it is visible to every agent with read permission on the ticket and is included in email notifications. This add-on keeps that data separate.

Once installed, a Private Credentials widget appears on the individual ticket page. The customer who created the ticket can add, edit, and delete credentials in this widget, and the information is stored in encrypted format in the database. Agents who hold the required capability can also view, add, modify, and delete the credentials from the same place.

Administrators can control which agents may work with private credentials. Three capabilities are added to the agent role: View Credentials for read permission, Modify Credentials for adding and editing, and Delete Credentials for removal. Each capability can be limited to unassigned tickets, tickets assigned to the agent in question, or tickets assigned to other agents or agent groups.
