Document Library Manager is the Page Addon extension for Download Monitor, a WordPress plugin. It adds a shortcode that lists featured downloads, categories, tags and a search box on your site. Downloads shown in these lists link through to a download detail page rather than to the download links themselves. The number of items shown per section is customisable through shortcode arguments.

Visitors can browse sortable, paginated lists of your downloads by tag and by category. Categories also show hierarchy, which allows the download lists to be narrowed down further. Each download detail page can display extra information about the file, including versions, a description, a thumbnail, custom fields and the download link itself.

The extension is aimed at anyone with a WordPress website who wants to generate more leads, sell digital products or protect digital files against unauthorized downloads. It requires a self-hosted WordPress.org installation or a site on WordPress.com's Business Plan, and it does not work with other platforms such as Shopify, Wix, Drupal, Joomla or Squarespace. Download Monitor is built for performance and has been thoroughly tested so it does not adversely affect your website's performance. You can create and customize your entire store without writing a single line of code, and developers who want to customize the plugin are free to do so.
