WPDM Remote FTP / SFTP Browser is an add-on for WordPress Download Manager. It lets you browse a remote FTP or SFTP server from WordPress, select files, and attach them to your download packages. Files are streamed to users at download time, so copies do not need to be stored on your WordPress server.

The add-on includes a file picker with list and grid views, breadcrumb navigation, and multi-file selection. Passwords are stored encrypted with WPDM's AES encryption rather than in plain text. You can set global FTP or SFTP credentials and override them on individual packages, which suits setups where files are spread across several servers. A one click test connection verifies credentials before saving. Other settings include a passive mode toggle and a root directory that limits browsing to a specific folder on the remote server.

The add-on is aimed at WordPress Download Manager users who keep their downloadable files on remote FTP or SFTP servers. It requires WordPress Download Manager Pro 4.0 or higher and PHP 7.4 or higher with the FTP extension enabled. The phpseclib3 library needed for SFTP is bundled, so no additional installation is required.
