Reviews for Easy Digital Downloads lets visitors and customers review the products offered on a WordPress site, adding social proof to help increase sales. Store owners can enable or disable reviews on each product individually and can choose exactly who may leave them, whether verified customers, logged-in users, or everyone. A moderation queue protects against spam and abuse, and a complete management interface in the WordPress admin area lets owners moderate, approve, delete, and reply to product reviews.

To encourage customers to leave reviews and purchase additional products, the extension can automatically send a discount code after a review is submitted. Automated emails can also be configured to request reviews after a successful purchase, sent either immediately or after a delay of several days, with text and branding that are fully customizable.

The extension integrates with Frontend Submissions, so customers can submit feedback about the vendors whose products they purchased. All reviews include HTML5 microdata for Schema.org, allowing Google and other search engines to display them in search results. Minimum and maximum word limits can be enforced on review content, shortcodes and widgets make it easy to embed reviews into posts and pages, and reviews can be closed or disabled on a per-download basis. The extension requires WordPress 6.2, EDD 3.5.0, and PHP 7.4.
