Description:

Custom Prices is an extension for Easy Digital Downloads that lets store owners offer user-defined pricing on their products. Once installed, it adds an option to each download product that enables a custom or pay-what-you-want price. Customers can then enter the amount they wish to pay when purchasing, which makes the extension well suited to donation type products.

Setting up custom pricing is done through the Download Configuration area of Easy Digital Downloads, under the pricing options. There you check the box labeled Enable custom pricing, and you can optionally enter a minimum amount for each product. The extension also works with variable downloads, so different variations of a product can be configured individually. Downloads using custom prices can be displayed through the downloads shortcode, and the source documentation shows examples of multiple downloads with custom pricing appearing together.

This extension is aimed at store owners running Easy Digital Downloads who want to give customers flexibility in what they pay, particularly for donation style products. To use it, your site needs WordPress 5.8, Easy Digital Downloads 3.2.12, and PHP 7.4 at minimum. Setup documentation is available for those who need guidance configuring the extension in their store.

The vendor’s own page for Easy Digital Downloads – Custom prices has the full details.

Main Features of Easy Digital Downloads – Custom prices:
